Field notes
Little rules. Big difference.
Hatching isn’t casting
Entry abilities still happen. Zacama’s land untap requires casting, so an Atla hatch won’t trigger it.
Zero toughness still dies
Indestructible doesn’t save 0/0 creatures. A +1/+1 counter can keep Atla alive through Mirror Entity.
Death means graveyard
Exile and bounce don’t hatch Eggs. Sacrifice a threatened Egg before exile removal resolves.
Atla needs time or haste
Her tap ability obeys summoning sickness. Boots, Greaves, or riot’s haste option help.
Greaves gives shroud
Move it away before targeting Atla with another equip ability or Snakeskin Veil.
Damage builds up
Forerunner’s damage is optional. Repeating it can kill your engine creatures; Cacophodon isn’t an infinite untap by itself.
